Our goal was to reduce uncertainty by delivering timely, relevant information through an experience designed specifically for commuters on the move.

Próxima Estação combines official metro and commuter rail status with community-powered insights into a single native iOS experience. Live operational data is complemented by passenger crowd reports, helping commuters understand not only whether the network is running, but what they will actually encounter when they arrive. When live reports are limited, the app intelligently falls back to a historical, time-based crowding model, ensuring that every screen remains useful rather than empty. The experience was built entirely with SwiftUI and follows Apple's Human Interface Guidelines, embracing modern design principles and the latest iOS technologies. With Liquid Glass, fluid animations, and thoughtfully crafted interactions, the interface feels lightweight, responsive, and deeply integrated with the Apple ecosystem. Every screen prioritizes clarity, allowing commuters to access essential information with minimal effort—even while navigating a busy station. Beyond real-time line status, the app provides route planning, an interactive metro map, nearest-station discovery, accessibility information, translated notifications, and personalized updates, bringing together everything needed for daily travel in one cohesive experience.
